Beach Trip

Kevin, Madalyn, and I received an invite to go to Surfside Beach last week with Kevin's cousin (Brantley),and her family (husband-Richard, and two girls, Katherine Grace (who is 3 1/2) and Annalise (who is 3 months), his aunt Wanda and uncle Jim, another couple (Amber, Steven, and Savannah (who is 2).  We left on Thursday and came back this afternoon.  We had a wonderful time. Friday's weather was perfect and even though on Saturday we had a little rain, it was still a nice day.  The girls had a blast playing together.  Even though Katherine Grace and Madalyn are cousins, this was the first time they had spent much time together.  It was a great way to end the summer because I start back to school this Tuesday.

Our last morning on the beach

I scream...you scream...we all scream for the beach!

What a fun vacation we had. The only problem was it went by was too fast. :0)

And of course what vacation would be complete without a few family pictures, especially when you go on vacation with a professional photographer. :0) Excuse the hair, it's the beach people and the wind was a blowing.

First Dentist Visit

Yesterday, Madalyn had her first dentist visit.  I was so proud of her! She did a super job opening her mouth wide and doing everything they told her too.  She got a great report, good strong teeth and no cavities.  She was so good, she got 3 prizes from the treasure box.

Children's Museum in Greenville

Wednesday, Madalyn and I went to Greer to visit my parents and to go to the consignment sale I normally go to. This year, I was a consignor, and I sold a lot of Madalyn's clothes and baby things that I wouldn't use with this next baby. I was very, very please with the outcome. It rained the whole time we were there.  So, Thursday, it was flooding and my mom and I took Madalyn to the Children's Museum downtown Greenville. This was the first time Madalyn had been to a children's museum and she had a blast. It was the perfect thing to do on a rainy day.

16 Week Check Up

Tuesday, I was 16 weeks and went for my check up. All was good. We heard a good strong heartbeat.  My next visit they will do an ultrasound and we will get to find out what the baby is and see the baby again. So that will be an exciting visit.  I am finally feeling better; so that's been a big plus around our house lately. :0)

Special Visit & VBS

The week of July 21-25th, my mom came down a few days and brought my Papa with her. It had been 2 years since he had been down to our house.

Madalyn also went to vacation bible school and had a blast. She came home every night talking about what all she did.
