Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Madalyn with her special valentine horse.

Kevin planned a special valentine night for Madalyn last night...a camp-out in the living room.

He created a tent, built a fire, we roasted marshmallows to make s'mores, popped popcorn, watched a movie of Madalyn's choice which was Frozen, and slept under the tent last night. Madalyn said it was the "best day ever!"

Roasting marshmallows for s'mores

Yummy!

Time for the movie, "Frozen" and popcorn

I will say that Kevin fell asleep before the movie was over. Haha!

What a fun night! I'm sure we will repeat this idea soon. :0)

Horse Love

If you are a regular follower of my blog then you know that Madalyn LOVES horses. We had some warm weather two weeks ago and when I picked Madalyn up after school she had to see the horses and feed them.

Chickens are Back!

Janauary 29th and February 5th we got chickens back....so things are getting back to normal after 8 weeks around here. We went to see the new chickens and this was Alexis' first time seeing the chickens. She had a fit to try and get her hands on one. Kevin did catch one for her to pet.

The Little Mermaid Play

February 4th, the high school here put on the play The Little Mermaid and I took Madalyn to see it. It was amazing! I was so impressed to be a high school production it looked professional. Madalyn really enjoyed and she got to meet two of the stars from the play.

Meet Tucker Boothe

This morning my cousin Tim and his wife Amanda welcomed their second child into the world via c-section. They had a baby boy, Tucker Boothe. He was 6 lbs. 4 oz. Both mom and baby are doing great!

February Afternoon

It was 75 degrees this afternoon, so we decided to enjoy some time outside. Kevin grilled out hamburgers and the girls and I played. I know we are in for some more cold weather in the weeks to come, but it was a nice break for everyone to be able to get out side some.

We gave Alexis this car for her birthday. This was the first day she was able to ride on it outside the house.

My little farm girl

I wanted Alexis to keep her bow in for her picture and Alexis was trying to take her bow out of her hair and I was telling her "no, no", and she thought it was the best game ever. Haha!

Madalyn's Gymnastic Medal

Madalyn had a winter gymnastic recital on January 23rd and she chose not to go because it had snowed. We let her chose what she wanted to do and she wanted to stay home and play in the snow. Which I didn't blame her and I knew that mid-morning the snow would be gone. So, this past Friday when she went to gymnastics, she got her medal since she didn't make it to the recital due to the weather. She was so excited! This was the first medal she had ever gotten. She was very proud of it.
