Winter Faculty Meeting

At the end of each month, we have a faculty meeting that is just for us to fellowship. Each grade level signs up to provide food for a certain month. This was our month and since I had all my decorations saved from Alexis's birthday party, we did a winter theme. We set up a Hot Chocolate Bar with goodies you can mix in your hot chocolate; mini marshmallows, peppermint mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, whipped cream, chocolate sauce or caramel sauce.  Then I made Double Fudge Brownies and Turtle Brownies. I also had picked up a Cinnamon Pecan Pudding Cake from Kroger-which was absolutely delicious.  We made the hot chocolate in the crock pot and I got the recipe from Pinterest and it was also delicious. I posted the recipe under the last picture.

Snow Day

We finally got a snow day...not as much as my parents got in Greer, which they last count was 11 inches, but we got a dusting of snow. We wish it was more of course, but it was enough for Madalyn to play in. She had a winter gymnastics recital this morning but we gave her the option to go to the recital or stay home and play in the snow and of course she chose the snow. This was Alexis's first snow...she didn't like it too much. She liked it ok at first, but she struggled to walk in it and started falling a lot and decided she had had enough.  There's still several weeks left of winter, fingers crossed we have another snow day soon. :0)

Madalyn and Bella jumped in the picture too.

Alexis's First Snow

Making snow angels.

She slipped on the snow and just sat there.

Trying to make a snowman

Do you want to build a snowman? Madalyn sure did!

We were able to scoop enough snow off her slide and tree house to make a little snowman. She was very specific on how to make him....he must have a carrot for his nose.

It started snowing again while we were out playing and Madalyn wanted to catch a snowflake on her tongue.

Wingo

Wingo liked rolling around in the snow.

Wingo and Madalyn playing

One last snow angel.

As you can see it was just a light dusting of snow, barely covering the ground in many places.

Randomness

Here's just some random pictures that have been taken over the last two weeks.

Having fun in the doctor's office...trying to past the waiting time along.

Madalyn loves unicorns and LOVES stuffed animals...I told her she could get her picture made with it but it couldn't come home with us.

Kevin was putting together a car that we gave Alexis for her birthday. The girls had lots of fun playing with the box.

Having fun and enjoying our day off from school on Monday.

Madalyn LOVES to stay in her pajamas.

Our hats that Aunt Wanda made for us.

Bundling up for some outside fun.

Sound asleep

Madalyn has always moved a lot in her sleep ever since she could roll over. She hasn't stopped yet. You can go in her room at any time during the night and she will be in a different position.  You also hear her hit the wall during the time a few times, it's either her head or foot hitting the wall. If she didn't have a rail, she would end up in the floor every night I know. But when you go to wake her up in the morning, she will be back in the correct position.

I don't see how she sleeps this way. It can't be comfortable but she sleeps this way most nights.

Welcome Home Baby Luke

Baby Luke came home today so as soon as I got out of school and picked up my girls, we headed over to see him. It's amazing holding him thinking that Alexis was this size a year ago. Wow, does the time fly.

Baby Luke
He looks like his Daddy and oldest brother Houston to me. Luke is so cute and precious. They grow up so fast.
