Happy Halloween!

Madalyn went with her preschool class to the nursing home this morning to trick or treat.  I think she had a really good time.  I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween!

Madalyn and Hunter got a running start.

As you can see, Madalyn was very curious as to what she got.

Fall Fun with Family and Friends

This afternoon we had our annual fall festival for family and friends at Kevin's parents house.  We had about 60 something family and friends come out to have fun together. There was a bouncy slide, airplane rides, horse rides, a hay bale maze, trick or treating, crafts and food ( hot dogs, chips, sweets, and the best part...s'mores!) And last but not least a hay ride. It was the perfect fall day and Madalyn had a blast. We can't wait til next year.

Madalyn is ready for some FUN!

Madalyn had an absolute blast on this slide.

Our Tinkerbell

For Halloween Madalyn is going to be Tinerbell or "Tink" as she says. She loves to watch the Tinkerbell movies.  I wish there was a Tinkerbell series that came on the Disney channel, because she would really enjoy that. Anyway, here's our Tinkerbell.

Squirrel

Last weekend, it was raining and I looked out our front window and saw this squirrel had found a nice little place to stay dry from the rain.

Madalyn's Pumpkin

Tuesday afternoon, Madalyn and I decorated her pumpkin that we got from Skytop.  Which Madalyn mostly watched as I painted and decorated. I found this pumpkin decorating kit at Target, so instead of carving the pumpkin this year, we did something different.

Step 1: Paint the pumpkin black

Step 2: Let the paint dry

Step 3: Add the Minnie Mouse decorations

A Fall Day in the Mountains

Saturday, we all went to Skytop Orchard and went apple picking and pumpkin picking.  We stopped in Saluda, NC for lunch and a stroll down main street, then we went for a walk in the woods to find a really neat and old stone bridge.  It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.

First Stop: Skytop Orchard, NC

Let's go pick some apples!
