ONE ??? Can it be?

ONE year old??? Hard to believe that one week from today, Alexis will be 1 year old. It's been a very fast year. And once Alexis started crawling and walking, it has gone even faster. I try my best to soak up all I can with enjoying her being little, because he's another shocker to me, that in just 3 months, Madalyn will be 5!!! Oh my! My girls are growing up.  I'm so glad to have this week off to enjoy being at home with my girls. I finally went to the doctor on Monday, so after being sick for a month, I am starting to feel better. This weekend we will celebrate with family and friends Alexis's birthday. This morning I was able to have a short photo shoot with Alexis to get some 1 year old pictures.

Alexis at 1

-She is a talker like her sister.
-She doesn't like to sit still or sit and play. She has to be walking all the time. Also, like her sister.
-She still sleeps all night long, 98% of the time and goes to sleep with no trouble.
-She is getting use to some table food.
-She still is such a Happy baby girl and smiles almost all the time.

We love her and love what her addition has brought to our family which is JOY and HAPPINESS! Being an only child, I was hopeful for Madalyn to have a sibling which ever it maybe and I think it's something special to have a sister. I hope they will grow up to appreciate one another and love each other. Not that it will be hugs and kisses all the time, but I do hope they will be friends.

First, let's take a look back...

I love the black and white!

So, help me out...which one is your favorite? Some of the black and white ones I just absolutely LOVE. But I love the color ones too. :0) Too many choices!! More birthday pics to come later this week.

Christmas Day 2015

Let's start at Christmas Eve, when we got home from seeing my side of the family for Christmas, Madalyn and I baked cookies for Santa. Then Madalyn and her Daddy had some wrapping to do for me :0) And we had two girls that were so excited, (well at least I know Madalyn was), that they couldn't go to sleep waiting on Santa to come.

Christmas Day- Madalyn got up at 6:45, and was coming into the den, so I ran and made her go back to her room because we wanted her to come in with Alexis and of course I wanted to get it on video. I think Madalyn was pleased with what Santa brought her and Alexis didn't know what to think. She did seem to want everything that Madalyn had instead of her own toys. :0) With Kevin not having any chickens, there was no work to worry about so this was like is first ever Christmas completely off from work. That made the day extra special. It would have been better if it had been cold and snowy instead of 80 degrees! But it was a nice day, just the 4 of use spent together.

Here's the Christmas cookies Madalyn and I made.

Kevin's mom made this for me from the girls.

This year Kevin took Madalyn shopping for me. So she picked out everything he said. She picked out this beautiful scarf and owl earrings to match.

Christmas Morning

All Madalyn has talked about was getting a baby zebra for Christmas. However, she wanted a real one too.

One of the gifts Madalyn got from us was a little live mouse pet. They are really cute. Alexis was also fascintated by it.

Alexis kept trying to sit in the baby doll stroller.

Madalyn got a pair of unicorn pj's for Christmas from her G-Dad and Nana. Loves them!

Christmas Day Night: what a fun day full of excitement.

I'm not sure which one was more worn out.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and there's lots to look forward to in the new year.

Christmas the Day After

One other thing Madalyn has been asking for was a real unicorn. So my sister-in-law, Tori did the best she could.
 It's big for sure! :0)

Alexis got some new pj's too.

A look back...

Merry Christmas!

Due to me being sick and the girls being sick, the week of Thanksgiving and the weeks after, I was later than normal getting Christmas pictures made and getting my Christmas cards made. (I haven't mailed my cards, yet, so it will be more like Happy New Year, vs. Merry Christmas this year by the time they get mailed out. :0) But here's some Christmas pictures of my girls. I am so excited to have these 2 weeks off to spend with my girls and family. Last Christmas, I was on bed rest and was so worry when I was going to go into labor, it was hard to enjoy Christmas to the full effect. But this year, Kevin won't have chickens, so he won't have to worry about working, and we are looking forward to really enjoying Christmas this year with our girls. Madalyn is really excited. Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope you have a blessed week!

Madalyn is actually sticking her tongue out in this picture, if you look closely. :p

Love this picture! So sweet!

When it's a picture by herself, Madalyn has started "posing" for the camera. Can you tell?

Blooper: I wonder if Alexis will have a career in dentistry???

Let it Snow! Fingers are crossed that it will this year.

Christmas Pj's...matching of course!

Of course...two fingers Alexis as we say. She had actually gotten upset with the picture taking and was calming herself down. And it was time for her to eat. :0)
