Happy 2nd Birthday, Madalyn!

I can't believe that my baby is 2 years old today.  As of 5:19 pm, she was officially 2! She took some cupcakes to preschool today to share with her class. However, she had an "early" dismissal due to a bad upset tummy.  At least she had a chance to have her "party" at school before she had to come home.  When Kevin and I got home from work today, we did a party, just the 3 of us.  Madalyn has the present thing figured out I think. She sat in the floor and opened her gifts, without any help from us.  (She wasn't that interested in opening gifts at her party this past weekend, but tonight she was tearing into them).  She was pretty excited about her gifts, but she could care less about her card...and it even had "pup-pups" on it. (puppies). Oh, well, that doesn't matter.  Happy Birthday to our precious little girl! We love you so much and are so blessed to have you as our daughter.

Opening Presents

Oh boy! Doc McStuffins' doctor kit

A travel Magic Doodle for the car

My presents from Mommy and Daddy

A Minnie Mouse fleece blanket

A country girl needs her Pick-Up Truck, so why not a lavender and pink Pick-Up.
It was too cold and windy for her to get this outside, but once it warms up I'm sure the dust will be flying!

She loved it!

So cute!

Minnie is going for a ride in the tail gate-Doc McCormick is ready for work

The horn is her favorite part I think.

Watching "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" eating Lucky Charms, sitting in her Pick-Up Truck with Minnie Mouse, what could be better?

Night Night

Madalyn loves to crawl into our bed and go "night-night" for pretend.  She really doesn't like to go "night-night" at all.  I think she would stay up  all night long if we would let her.  But she likes to crawl up on my side of the bed and "pretend".  She likes us to pretend with her, the only problem is that if I lay there for more than a minute, I start getting sleepy for real.

Madalyn's 2 Year Birthday Party in Greer

This weekend Madalyn had her 2 year old birthday party at my parent's house in Greer.  It was a nice day for a party.  Madalyn didn't take a nap as early as I would have liked, of course right, since you have something special going on, and people starting arriving before I had my make-up on, hair done, and food ready, but despite all of those minor things at first, it was a very nice party. Except that due to Madalyn having to be woke up from her nap, it took her awhile to warm up to everyone.  Also, when they started singing "Happy Birthday" to her, she started crying.  Other than that, it was a very nice party and Madalyn received so many nice gifts.  Thank you to my family and friends that came to show your love for our baby girl!  Here are pictures from our special day.

Madalyn's Cake-which I made and decorated myself; with some help from my mom. I was proud of myself and it even tasted good too!

The Gideons International Convention

Last night, Kevin and I went to a Gideons International Conference banquet.  We were joined by Kevin's grandmother, Mrs. Kitty, and my sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, my mother-in-law, and we were all there to support my father-in-law because he is now the president of the Gideons for the state of South Carolina.  He was the vice-president and was suppose to take over being the president next year, however, it was God's timing for him to begin now.  We are all very proud of Mr. Tim and admire him for his heart and service to God and his passion for seeing the lost come to know Christ.  Here are some pictures from our evening.

Madalyn's Hair Cut

Madalyn had her first "professional" hair cut today by her aunt Katelyn at "All Teased Up" salon.  I had trimmed and cut her hair the other times, but I had decided it was time to hand the hair cutting over to the professional.  She did so good! She just sat there, never teared up or anything, she was such a good girl.  (I will tell you one secret to it was that her aunt Katelyn found Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on her phone, so Madalyn watched Mickey Mouse while she got her hair cut.)  I think her new hair cut looks so cute and she looks so "grown-up".

Going to Church

Here's some pictures of Madalyn, Sunday, going to church.  (I didn't realized until I saw these pictures, how bad her hair was just sticking straight up, but oh well...it's still cute.)
