Spring Break Day 1: The Georgia Aquarium

Last week was spring break for Madalyn and myself, so we took a mini-family vacation. We left on Wednesday and headed to Georgia.  We stopped in Atlanta at the Georgia Aquarium. None of us had been there before and we knew the girls would enjoy it. Plus, Madalyn currently loves dolphins and they have dolphins there and do a dolphin show so we knew it would be a good surprise for her.  One nice thing was that our spring break was later than anyone else in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, so it wasn't as busy as it probably could have been.  We all enjoyed our time at the aquarium. If you haven't been I highly recommend it! :0)

Our first stop we at lunch at a cafe outside of the aquarium.

First Stop: The River Habitat

Second Stop: Cold Water Habitat

The sea otters were Alexis's favorite and they were very entertaining.

She cried when we made her leave this area. :0(

The African Penguin

Sea Dragon

I really liked watching the octopus, it kept putting the basket on it's head and taking it back off.

These starfish were huge!

These crabs were huge too! They were called "Japanese spider crabs".

Third Stop: Deep Ocean Voyage

whale shark and it was a big animal

Madalyn really enjoyed this fish tunnel.

So many things to look at!

Last stop was Madalyn's favorite...the dolphins and dolphin show.

The dolphin show was great! We all enjoyed it. We were not allowed to take pictures during the show so that's all I have.
