This morning our pastor talked about exchanging gifts with Jesus. The verse was Matthew 2:1-11. He read us the Christmas story. In the Bible it tells us that the 3 wise men brought Jesus gifts of gold, incense, and myrrh.
1. Bring God your GOLD at Christmas. Your gold is something that you treasure and is something that is the best of life. God wants you to give it to Him. He wants you to serve those that He served, to love those that He loved, and to get out of your comfort zone.
2. Give God your CIRCUMSTANCES at Christmas. Give Him all your dreams and aspirations. Give Him everything that is going on in your life whether its good or bad.
3. Give God your MUD at Christmas. Give Him all your sins and mistakes and repent from them.
With this gift exchange, He will gladly, willingly take it all and in return He'll give you the gift of salvation and everlasting life. Can't ask for anything any better for Christmas, now can you?
